So I finally decided to start a blog..I thought it might be nice since I will be moving and traveling soon! And with Hurricane Irene hitting this weekend...I figure I might as well do it now! I am leaving so soon for Augsburg Germany, where my boyfriend, Corey Hassan is playing proessional basketball in the second highest league in Germany...amazing start for him after a year off and thinking he wasn't going to even play pro after that year off! I leave September 19th and I cannot wait for that day to come! Some people are asking me what do I plan on doing over there....but to tell you the truth, I have no idea. And to have no plan for my life, actually feels amazing! Those of you who know me well, know that I am the type that has always had a plan every second of my life...whether it was an internship after internship or job after job..I always had something planned for myself. I don't know why but I have always felt like I had to do something to make sure I would be okay in life. But for once in my life, I am picking up and moving to Europe with my boyfriend where I am going with no plan but to enjoy the amazing opportunity we have! I mean the team is being SO helpful..giving us 2 round trip flights (to go there & back and also home for xmas!), a really nice apartment, a car (standard- so I have some practicing to do), and the entire team has been so nice & helpful to my b/f Corey and I so far. Although, I have to say, I;m so happy that there is another American girl over there..so Rachel..I can't wait to be there too!!
I know it's going to be an amazing experience...people do take a year off after college to travel Europe..I guess my year off is just coming a year later...and my traveling of Europe might just be more then a year..but who know because I'm going out on a limb here doing the whole no plan and just live for the moment thing.
Anyways, all I can say is that there are so many things in life changing...my friends are graduating grad school..going to be pharmicist's Occupational Therapists, teachers, doing their own things in business, living in Cali, Hawaii, NYC...so I think it's safe to say that everyone has their time doing their thing and I'm really excited for me and Corey to live together in Augsburg, Germany this year. I hope we love it and get to see as much of Europe as possible! And I really hope some of my friends save up their money and come visit us! I know a lot of you want to come to Oktoberfest!! Germany is coming so soon for me and I cannot wait..the countdown is definitely beginning! :)
